1. Fast and furiously delicious hot fudge

There’s nothing quite like the sensation of dousing your favorite ice cream with warm, rich, thick, and gooey hot fudge! But you don’t have to rush out to the store to get it. Actually, you can make it right in the comfort of your own home.

What you’ll need:

  • • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • • 1/4 cup milk
  • • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Here’s how to make it:

Mix brown sugar and cocoa powder in a small bowl; set aside. Next, cook butter and milk in a medium saucepan until it starts to bubble (5 minutes give or take on medium heat). Add cocoa mixture. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon, cooking for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Let sit for at least 5 minutes to thicken up. Store covered in refrigerator for up to one week. Reheat for 10 seconds in microwave before using.

2. White chocolate magic shell—no magician needed

You don’t need a top hat or wand to create this magical treat! And with this recipe, you’ll never have to buy that grocery store brand again. It’s easy and you only need two ingredients! Check this out—your kids will be amazed.

  • • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips or chunks
  • • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

Here’s how to make it:

Place white chocolate in double boiler and melt. Add coconut oil and stir well. Cool to room temperature before using. We’re not kidding—it’s that simple.

3. Cool and refreshing strawberry coulis

If you love fresh fruits, this fancy topping is right up your alley. Although it sounds complex, it’s easy to make (3 minutes and you’re done!) and will add the light, fruity flavor of strawberries to your favorite ice cream.

Here’s what you need:

  • • 1 cup strawberries, washed, hulled, and quartered
  • • 5 Tablespoons water
  • • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar (optional if berries are very sweet)
  • • 2 teaspoons lemon or lime juice

And here’s how to bring it all together:

Place strawberries and water in food processor and pulse until smooth. Strain the mixture and return to processor. Add sugar and lemon or lime juice and beat until all is mixed well. Store chilled in a covered container until ready to use. Keeps well up to 5 days.

4. Oh-so-sweet salted butter caramel sauce

Buttery caramel will wow your taste buds! And this recipe is just perfect for ice cream.

Here are the ingredients:

  • • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • • 6 Tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
  • • 2/3 cup half and half
  • • dash of sea salt (optional)

How to make it:

Place sugar in a saucepan and melt over medium heat, whisking every 15-20 seconds. Once sugar is completely melted and a golden brown hue, remove the pan from heat. Add the pinch of salt. Add butter all at once and whisk away until it’s melted and folded in. Slowly pour in the half and half and, you’ve guessed it, keep whisking until the mixture combines to a uniform color! Cook the sauce for an additional minute on medium-low heat. Pour the mixture into a heat-proof jar or measuring cup and let stand 15 minutes before using.
