Looking to throw a party for your company but not sure when the best time to do it is? Company parties happen most commonly around the winter holiday season, but throwing a party at this time of year can get expensive as everyone else is doing it too. Instead (or on top) of spending those dollars in December, you should consider some holidays and observances occurring earlier in the year that aren’t celebrated as often. There are tons of reasons to throw a company party to celebrate staff and the hard work they do for organizations- and we’re here to lay out our favorite for you.
April 22: Administrative Professionals Day
Administrative Professionals Day takes place on the Wednesday of Administrative Professionals Week which takes place during the last full week of April. The day and week are used as tribute to hardworking administrative professionals and their importance to organizations. It’s the perfect time to show your appreciation to those employees that don’t always get as much as they deserve. Throw a party in the office or give them a half or full day off. Even just a small gift saying thank you can show administrative professionals that you truly do appreciate everything they do.
May 6-12: National Nurses Week & May 10-16: National Hospital Week
National Nurses Week recognizes the outstanding nurses in our country and all that they do for us on a daily basis. National Hospital Week celebrates hospitals and the compassionate and dedicated men and women who work in them. Hospitals and nurses play such a vital role in our communities, and it’s important that we take a step back and show them how much that means. Hospital staff are often overworked and could really use a party more than most- so why not give it to them? Hold the party during the day so that people on call can stop by if they have a quick minute and people who are off can come by if they choose to.
Valentines Day is the perfect time to throw a party for employees and their families. Throwing it the weekend before will give you a better turnout with families, but you can also just have a lunch party at work the day of Valentines Day for employees. It will give everyone a little extra to look forward to on a special holiday.
